muslim Women’s leadership and Legacy
|
Muslim women throughout history have led with knowledge, compassion, and faith.
At Ihsan Education, we are working towards a return to that legacy, reviving a tradition of strength and building leadership, resilience, and purpose rooted in Divine love. This is not a new idea, it’s our sacred inheritance waiting to be claimed and lived. |
why muslim women's leadership matters
"Women’s leadership in Islam is not a modern invention, it is a revival of a deeply rooted legacy.
From the earliest generations of Muslims, women have been central to scholarship, decision-making, community building, and ethical leadership.
Names like Aisha bint Abi Bakr (RA) and Fatima al-Fihri are not exceptions, but are reminders of what has always been possible. "
(Dr. Zaynab Alwani, 2015; Associate Professor of Islamic Studies, Howard University; first female jurist to serve on the Fiqh Council of North America, current Vice-Chair.)
